With nearly 50 years in the news business, Ben Meisner is the anchor for Opinion250.com. Ben started announcing in Uranium City in the mid 1950’s, and has held news positions at CKDM Dauphin, CKY Winnipeg, CJGX Yorkton, and CKEY Toronto. He was the General Manager at CKRD Red Deer, General Manager CFFM/ CFJC Kamloops for which he won the Radio Station of the Year award. Ben is best known in the “250” for the talk show he hosted on CKPG radio, his daily editorials on that station and weekly editorials on PGTV and in the Prince George Citizen and Free Press. Elaine is a Quarter Century Club member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Her career started in news at CKPG Radio in Prince George and includes experience at CHED Edmonton, CHML Hamilton, CHUM/CHUMFM Toronto, CKEY Toronto and CISSFM Toronto. She has taught Broadcast Journalism at the College level, been a Communications/Public Relations Officer in Prince George, and won several awards for news, public affairs and voice over work. Raised in Prince George, Peter Ewart is an instructor of English and New Media at the College of New Caledonia. He is a community activist and volunteer, and has written a variety of articles on political and community affairs. Currently, he is a spokesperson for the Active Voice Coalition, coordinator for the Prince George Committee To Save BC Rail, President of Employment Action, Vice President of the CNC Faculty Association, and Board member of the Canadian Rural and Remote Health Association. He is currently working on a book about the controversial sale of BC Rail.

Born in the Netherlands, Jos received a horticultural degree in his native country before moving to Canada in 1974. He started his own garden business in 1979 and has been helping northerners garden and grow for 25 years.
