MP Dick Harris presents BCPGA President Dawn Hemingway with a check for $99,775. Prince George, B.C. - The Federal Government has delivered just under a 100 thousand dollars to the B.C. Psychogeratric Association. This is for another stage in the Association’s lookat the mental health of aging Canadians who have cancer. The national project has been gathering information from Seniors themselves about their mental health with a look towards making chaninges in how seniors with cancer receive care. The project hopes to develop a pamphlet filled with Seniors to Seniors information about how to cope with cancer and self care. The $99,775 dollars in funding is about one half the amount received last year, but that is a reflection on the focus of the project.
