That sucks. This Native (or Indian) band (please tell me which is politically correct) is a forward thinking community economically and has done well for themselve. Hopefully this will not put a damper on them in the long term.
Thank you DPJ. We prefer the term Indian to Native. Actually First Canadians or First Nations is more appropriate. Thank you for the respect.
What makes you think these people were native? There are other people who live in McLeod Lake. How do you know the band is forward thinking? Have you been on the reservation there? I have been on the reserve, and I'm not sure what you mean by progressive but would like to know what that looks like to you.
"Hopefully this will not put a damper on them in the long term."

Maybe you should let THEM worry about that. Leave them alone and let them sort out their own problems!
thats the way she goes
